Neurotoxins (e.g. Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau, Revanesse):

Neurotoxin treatments, such as Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin, are widely used in cosmetic medicine to smooth wrinkles and fine lines by temporarily relaxing targeted facial muscles. These injectables block nerve signals to the muscles, preventing repetitive movements that contribute to aging signs.

Common uses of neurotoxins in aesthetics include:

  • Forehead Lines & Frown Lines: Softens deep wrinkles caused by repetitive facial expressions.
  • Crow’s Feet: Reduces fine lines around the eyes for a more youthful look.
  • Brow Lift: Creates a subtle lift, opening up the eyes and improving symmetry.
  • Under Eye Rejuvenation: Helps with under-eye creases and can be combined with PRP or fillers for enhanced results.
  • Jawline Slimming & TMJ Relief: Relaxes masseter muscles to create a slimmer jawline and relieve jaw tension.
  • Neck & Décolletage Rejuvenation: Smooths horizontal neck lines and reduces vertical banding.

Neurotoxin injections are quick, minimally invasive, and require little to no downtime, making them a popular choice for natural-looking facial rejuvenation.

Dermal Fillers (e.g. Restylane, Juvederm, Sculptra, Radiesse, Silikon off label, Fat grafting AFT )

Dermal fillers are injectable treatments designed to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours for a more youthful appearance. Made from substances like hyaluronic acid or biocompatible materials, fillers provide immediate, long-lasting results with minimal downtime.

Common uses of dermal fillers in aesthetics include:

  • Cheek & Midface Volume: Restores youthful fullness and lifts sagging skin.
  • Under Eye Rejuvenation: Reduces hollowness and dark circles for a refreshed look.
  • Lip Enhancement: Adds volume, defines shape, and smooths lip lines.
  • Jawline & Chin Contouring: Enhances definition and balance.
  • Nasolabial Folds & Marionette Lines: Softens deep lines around the mouth.
  • Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty: Refines the nose shape without surgery.
  • Hand Rejuvenation: Restores volume to thinning skin, reducing the appearance of veins and tendons for a smoother, more youthful look.

In addition to traditional fillers, Silikon 1000, a medical-grade, FDA-approved silicone oil, is used for permanent corrections in select cases. As an expert in this advanced technique, Dr. Akkary has published on the topic in the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery, highlighting its precision and longevity when used appropriately.

Dermal fillers offer a safe, effective way to restore lost volume and enhance facial harmony with natural-looking results.

Laser, IPL

Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments are advanced skin rejuvenation techniques that target various concerns, including pigmentation, texture, and overall skin tone. These non-invasive treatments use light energy to stimulate collagen production, remove unwanted pigmentation, and improve skin clarity with minimal downtime.

Common uses of Laser & IPL in aesthetics include:

Skin Rejuvenation: Improves texture, reduces fine lines, and boosts collagen.
Hyperpigmentation & Sun Damage: Fades dark spots, melasma, and sun-induced discoloration.
Rosacea & Redness Reduction: Minimizes broken capillaries and facial redness.
Acne & Acne Scars: Targets active acne and improves the appearance of scarring.
Hair Removal: Provides long-term reduction of unwanted hair on the face and body.
Vascular Lesions & Spider Veins: Effectively treats small blood vessels and broken capillaries.
Hand Rejuvenation: Restores a youthful appearance by evening out skin tone and reducing age spots.

Laser and IPL treatments offer a safe, customizable solution for achieving clear, youthful skin with long-lasting results.

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a regenerative treatment that utilizes the patient’s own blood to promote healing, tissue rejuvenation, and collagen production. PRP is created by extracting a small sample of blood, spinning it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, and then re-injecting or applying the plasma to targeted areas.

In cosmetic surgery, PRP is commonly used for:

  • Hair Restoration: Stimulates dormant hair follicles, promoting natural hair growth and thickening.
  • Skin Rejuvenation: Enhances collagen production, improving skin texture, tone, and elasticity. Often combined with microneedling for optimal results.
  • Under Eye Treatments: Reduces dark circles, hollowness, and fine lines by stimulating collagen and increasing blood flow, leading to a more refreshed, youthful appearance.
  • Wound Healing: Accelerates post-surgical recovery, reducing inflammation and improving tissue regeneration.

PRP is a natural, minimally invasive option that harnesses the body’s healing potential for aesthetic and restorative purposes.

Chemical Peel

Chemical peels are advanced skin treatments that use carefully formulated acids to exfoliate the skin, improve texture, and promote collagen production. By removing damaged outer layers, chemical peels reveal fresher, more radiant skin with improved tone and clarity.

Common uses of chemical peels in aesthetics include:

  • Skin Rejuvenation: Enhances overall skin texture and glow.
  • Hyperpigmentation & Sun Damage: Fades dark spots, melasma, and uneven skin tone.
  • Acne & Acne Scars: Reduces breakouts and minimizes post-acne discoloration.
  • Fine Lines & Wrinkles: Stimulates collagen to smooth early signs of aging.
  • Rosacea & Redness Reduction: Helps balance skin tone and reduce inflammation.
  • Hand Rejuvenation: Improves skin texture and reduces age spots for a youthful look.

Chemical peels range from light to deep formulations, allowing treatments to be customized to each patient’s needs. Whether for brightening, anti-aging, or acne correction, they offer a safe and effective way to achieve smoother, healthier skin.

Dermal Renewal with Renuvion

This is a skin-tightening and rejuvenation treatment that uses a unique combination of helium plasma and radiofrequency (RF) energy. The device delivers energy to the skin’s surface, gently heating the tissue to stimulate collagen production while contracting existing collagen fibers. This process smooths wrinkles, improves elasticity, and renews skin structure. It can be used to address laxity, fine lines, and uneven texture.

Silhouette InstaLift®

Silhouette InstaLift® is a minimally invasive procedure designed to reposition sagging facial tissue and support the skin. It uses absorbable sutures and small bidirectional cones that create an immediate lifting effect while also stimulating collagen production over time.

How It Works

The sutures are placed beneath the skin in targeted areas of the face. Each suture contains a series of tiny cones that hold the tissue in an elevated position. Over time, both the sutures and cones gradually dissolve and are safely absorbed by the body.

  • Threads (sutures): Made of poly-glycolide/L-lactide (PLGA), a well-studied biodegradable material commonly used in medical devices.
  • Cones: Made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), the same biocompatible material found in certain injectable collagen stimulators.

As the material dissolves, it stimulates the body’s natural collagen production, which helps improve skin firmness and structure.

Treatment Areas

  • Midface and cheeks
  • Jawline
  • Lower face

What to Expect

The procedure is performed in the office with local anesthesia. Most patients resume normal activities within 1–2 days. Temporary swelling, tenderness, or bruising may occur and typically resolves within a week.

Results

  • Immediate lifting effect
  • Continued improvement over several months as collagen develops
  • Results usually last 18–24 months
