Healthy patients with realistic expectations who have low eyebrow position, asymmetry or forehead wrinkles.

What are Brow Lift contraindications?

Severe or uncontrolled systemic diseases, connective tissue disease, malignancy, unrealistic expectations, local skin pathology and pregnancy.

Note: A contraindication is a condition or factor that serves as a reason to withhold a certain medical treatment due to the harm that it would cause the patient.

How is this procedure performed?

The procedure is usually performed under monitored IV sedation with local anesthesia. There are different approaches to achieve brow and forehead lift:

  1. Pretrichial: The incision is hidden in the front part of the hairline
  2. Coronal: The incision is hidden in the middle part of the scalp
  3. Direct: The incision is located above the eyebrow
  4. Endoscopic: Very small incisions are hidden in the scalp

How long does the effect last?

While every patient is different, long term results are expected.

What should I expect during recovery?

Swelling and bruising can be expected after any surgery. Patients usually return to normal activities within 1-2 weeks.

Where is the scar?

The scar is hidden in the scalp under the hair except in Direct brow lift where the scar is immediately above the brow
