Who is a good candidate for Forehead Lift?
Healthy patients with realistic expectations who have low eyebrow position, asymmetry or forehead wrinkles.
What are Forehead Lift contraindications?
Severe or uncontrolled systemic diseases, connective tissue disease, malignancy, unrealistic expectations, local skin pathology and pregnancy.
Note: A contraindication is a condition or factor that serves as a reason to withhold a certain medical treatment due to the harm that it would cause the patient.
How is this procedure performed?
The procedure is usually performed under monitored IV sedation with local anesthesia. There are different approaches including:
- Pretrichial: The incision is hidden in the front part of the hairline
- Coronal: The incision is hidden in the middle part of the scalp
How long does the effect last?
While every patient is different, long term results are expected.
What should I expect during recovery?
Swelling and bruising can be expected after any surgery. Patients usually return to normal activities within 1-2 weeks.
