This procedure involves removal of skin just underneath the nose to pull the skin up to lift and evert the upper lip. The procedure is also called angel wing lift and bull horn lift.

Who is a good candidate for Upper Lip Lift?
Patients with relatively long distance between the nose and upper lip (long white lip)
What are Upper Lip Lift contraindications?
We recommend avoiding the procedure in severe or uncontrolled systemic diseases, connective tissue disease, malignancy, unrealistic expectations, local skin pathology and pregnancy.
Note: A contraindication is a condition or factor that serves as a reason to withhold a certain medical treatment due to the harm that it would cause the patient.
How is this procedure performed?
- The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. Usually sedation is not required as it a quick procedure
- An incision is made following the lower contour of the nose
- A small strip of skin is removed
- The skin is pulled up and sutured below the nose
How long does the effect last?
While every patient is different, the results are expected to last for many years. This varies based on patients, skin integrity, genetics etc
What should I expect during recovery?
Mild swelling and bruising might occur which usually resolve in a few days
Where is the scar?
The scar is hidden immediately under the nose
